The 2011 Bailey Lauerman Experience was the first formal internship Bailey Lauerman has held in it's 40 year history. Myself, along with 5 other interns, had six weeks to create a new health and wellness program for Special Olympics Nebraska.
In that six weeks, the interns were able to:
- Create an entirely new health and wellness program, dubbed Healthy Habits, based on strong reasoning and strategy.
- Create a strategy to not only implement Healthy Habits, but to promote the program.
- Design advertisements and promotional materials for Healthy Habits.
- Put in over $100,000 worth of pro bono work, for Special Olympics Nebraska.

Healthy Habits
During the Bailey Lauerman Experience, we were given Special Olympics Nebraska (SONE) as a client. Our job was to build a new health & wellness program for Special Olympic athletes.
Healthy Habits is that program. The program was built by myself, Griffin Jelinek, Anna Loach, Dana Oltman, Kelsey Ibach and Holly Nichol. This program weighs on the athlete's desire to
make others, including coaches, parents and SONE, proud. Bulding on this, Healthy Habits is a way to bring that feeling of confidence and success, something we dubbed the 'podium moment',
to athletes every day. We created a program that lets the athlete track and monitor their own progress, giving them solid, tangible ways to do that.
After creating the program, we had to design both the materials for the program, and advertising to promote the new program. The advertising has the tagline 'I'm a fan of me.'
The tagline gives the athletes ownership of the campaign, and the hope is that through saying it to themselves, they will become more motivated in keeping up with their own health
& wellness plan. Everything above was created in part with fellow creative intern, Dana Oltman, unless otherwise noted.
